Can I add my logo to an electrical sign?

Yes. Signs can be customized with your company logo or special wording.

What sizes do the lockout safety tags come in? Can they be customized?

The standard size lockout safety tag is 3-1/8 x 5-5/8. However, tag size and design can be customized with your logo or special wording

What does OSHA's 50-pound tagout requirement apply to?

For tagout use, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(5)(ii)(C)(2) requires a non-reusable, hand-attachable, self-locking and non-releasable attachment with a minimum unlocking strength of 50 pounds. This is an attachment requirement; a tag-body or grommet pull rating alone does not establish compliance.

Are the electrical lockout safety tags reusable?

Yes. Printing is UV protected and encapsulated inside rigid PVC. This rugged material has a durable, hard-matte finish which retains pen, pencil and marker notations. Pencil may be erased for multiple use.

What materials are the Security signs made of and may I choose a different material?

Customers can choose from Pressure-Sensitive Vinyl (PSV), Hi-Impact Rigid Plastic (HRP) or non-oxidizing, rust-proof and rugged Aluminum Signs (ALU). Fiberglass, dibond or coroplast signs are also available upon request. Please contact us via phone or email to find out about other material options.

How do I prevent my signs from being vandalized?

Our signs have a Lamikote finish in order to make them graffiti and tamper resistant. Because of this finish, your signs are safe from defacement.

If I want to customize my security sign, what can I add?

Your security sign can easily be customized to include your company logo, pictures of employees, or your own design. Contact us by phone or email for further details or to get a customization quote.

How should I check a safety sign for its intended use?

Select the sign for the hazard, message, viewing conditions and workplace. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.145 sets requirements for applicable accident-prevention signs and tags; a design-style label alone is not proof of compliance.
